My very first real estate investment has produced to this date an average 180% yearly return on investment. I made this video because I wanted to showcase not only the power of real estate investing but also how forgiving long-term real estate investments can be. This property was by no means a “unicorn”, or “the perfect property”. In fact, I had my share of rookie mistakes from bad tenants, 4 basement floods, an oil and gas downturn (for the majority of my holding period), roof replacement, issues with contractors during renovations and the list goes on and on, but yet this is my best-performing investment to date, why? Because it’s the 1st one I bought.
